Take a look at the video. It's a stop motion film I finished just a few days ago. For all the 25 years I've been traveling with The Signature Project throughout the USA, I've been collecting hotel soaps, shampoos, lotions, magnetic room keys and complimentary pens they leave out for guests. The black tape balls are made from the used gaffers tape I collect after my shows. It's used to hold cables in place on stage and usually gets discarded afterwards. My intention was to develop a diverse and colorful palette of objects that allows me to create images related to the long journey of The Signature Project. I've got thousands of these pieces. This film I created is based on the artform of quilting. It reminds me of the many shows and hotels I've stayed at on this 25 year journey. I hope you enjoyed the video.
